About Us

AXIOM Systems is a healthcare technology company focused on building highly scalable, secure platforms for transaction processing, system integration, and operational visibility. Our solutions support mission‑critical workloads for health plans and providers in a regulated, high‑availability environment.

We are modernizing our platform architecture with cloud‑native, event‑driven, and containerized technologies and are looking for experienced engineers to help lead that evolution.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior C# Full Stack Developer with strong experience building cloud‑native, distributed systems. This role spans backend services, APIs, data persistence, and web‑based user interfaces, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes‑based deployments, AWS services, and asynchronous messaging.

Healthcare or EDI experience is not required, but familiarity with complex, data‑driven domains is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain C#/.NET applications in a modern, cloud‑native architecture
  • Build and evolve RESTful and event‑driven backend services
  • Develop and maintain web‑based user interfaces for operational workflows and system visibility
  • Design services that run reliably in Kubernetes environments
  • Implement autoscaling and event‑driven processing patterns (e.g., KEDA)
  • Integrate with message brokers for asynchronous processing and decoupled system communication
  • Work with PostgreSQL and other relational databases to design schemas and optimize performance
  • Deploy and operate services using AWS cloud services
  • Collaborate with domain experts to translate complex business needs into technical solutions
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and production support activities
  • Apply secure coding practices and ensure protection of sensitive data
  • Contribute to platform modernization, reliability, scalability, and performance initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET
  • Experience building full stack applications (backend services + web UI)
  • Hands‑on experience deploying and operating applications in Kubernetes
  • Experience with AWS services (compute, storage, messaging, or networking)
  • Experience working with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ Artemis)
  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and resiliency patterns
  • Proficiency in modern front-end technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript and React)
  • Ability to reverse engineer existing systems, work effectively with legacy code, and troubleshoot issues in complex codebases
  • Comfort supporting and bug-fixing regulated production environments with minimal downtime (triage, root-cause analysis, safe/controlled releases)
  • Ability to estimate delivery timelines, communicate tradeoffs, and consistently meet project deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams; proactive, unafraid to raise risks, ask questions, and align priorities
  • Proficiency with Git‑based source control

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills

  • Experience with KEDA or similar event‑driven autoscaling technologies
  • Experience designing event‑driven or microservices architectures
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments
  • Prior experience in regulated or high‑compliance environments (healthcare, finance, insurance, etc.)
  • Exposure to healthcare data, HIPAA, or EDI/X12 (nice to have, not required)

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work on modern cloud‑native platforms with real‑world scale
  • Challenging engineering problems involving distributed systems and high‑volume processing
  • Collaborative team with deep technical and domain expertise
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Long‑term platform modernization initiatives with real architectural influence
